variable reluctance type stepping motor

A stepping motor that is excited only by the winding current of a stator without using a permanent magnet.
It has a structure in which a large number of teeth are cut on the outer  periphery of the rotor and the inner surface of the stator that are magnetic materials.
The stator teeth excited by winding current can generate the rotational torque by attraction force generated with the rotor teeth.
It is currently not often used other than special applications.
